Juanika Ballard

Juanika Ballard is a mental health therapist providing trauma-informed care to both youth and adults, with a particular passion for supporting young people impacted by trauma. She helps clients navigate the effects of trauma, stress, and life transitions while building resilience, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills that support healing and personal growth.

Juanika brings a unique perspective to her therapeutic work, shaped by over 25 years of service as a law enforcement officer prior to her retirement in 2025. This experience deepened her understanding of trauma, crisis response, and the real-world challenges individuals, families, and communities face, allowing her to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and practical insight.

With a background in pastoral counseling, Juanika welcomes faith and spirituality into the therapeutic space for clients who desire it, honoring the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Her approach is strengths-based and client-centered, creating a supportive environment where healing, growth, and meaningful change can take place.

Outside the therapy room, Juanika is a dedicated youth advocate and basketball coach, committed to modeling and teaching integrity both on and off the court. She looks forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and becoming the best version of yourself.
