From Mrs. Elevate
In May of 2020, life hit me like a ton of bricks. Picture this: a full-time job from home, three school-age children, and a 6-month-old baby during the peak of the COVID pandemic. I was drowning in responsibilities, and there I was, desperately gasping for air. Working without any help with childcare made it feel like I was juggling with no safety net.
One day, in the middle of the chaos, I reached a breaking point. Overwhelmed and struggling to keep up, I decided to hit pause. I canceled appointments, put the baby down, and stepped outside, gasping for breath like it was the first time. Tears streaming down, I found myself realizing the weight of it all. Like many of you, I’m just a woman wearing many hats, and I had neglected the most crucial one – myself. Can you relate? Excuses piled up: not enough time, guilt weighing me down, and the never-ending battle with time scarcity (lol!).
It was in that moment, outdoors, that I took small, intentional breaths. And in those moments, something shifted. I started my journey to Mental Wellness, embracing small steps that led to a newfound inner peace. Today, I know Mental Wellness is a daily journey to our best selves. This is why I’ve created the 28-day challenge – an investment in yourself.
